As a mom, I am sharing a few things I think make amazing gifts for a mom like myself.
I’m keeping it real and only recommending things I love or would love to get.
That means, you’re not going to find any cooking tools on this list, as I am not a cooker.
I’m also not recommending items just to make a buck. I sincerely like the gift ideas on my list.
Jumping right in…

More Than Just a Card
Lovepop Cards: My husband introduced me to these spectacular laser print pop-up cards several years ago.
On certain occasions, when I’ve only received a card, this feels like it’s more than just a card.
I have since shopped for his cards here as well. They have a good variety so you’re bound to find one that is fitting.
I bought one for my mom last Mother’s Day. She has a small collection of bird houses so I found the perfect one for her.

Get 5 cards for $50.
For the Pregnant Mom
The Frida Mom Hospital Packing Kit for Labor, Delivery and Postpartum: This kit wasn’t available when I gave birth last year. 😔 But it would’ve been convenient if it was.
I stood over my kitchen counter in a 2-person assembly line making my own padscicles. The Frida Postpartum care kit includes these.
I listened to the advice and took as many mesh underwear as the hospital was willing to give me. Any extras would’ve been appreciated. This kit brings 4.
The only piece of this kit I had was the upside down peri bottle, which I loved! I also had a standard peri bottle that the hospital gave me and while those are good, the Frida upside down version was way better.
Everything the kit includes:
- Delivery and Nursing Gown (1 gown) – fits XS-XL
- Labor and Delivery Socks (1 pair)
- 1 Upside Down Peri Bottle
- Disposable Postpartum Underwear (4 pairs) – Size Regular, Waist 28″ – 42″
- Instant Ice Maxi Pads (4 pads)
- Perineal Cooling Pad Liners (24 witch hazel liners)
- Perineal Healing Foam (net 5 fl. oz.)
- Toilet-top storage caddy and carry case
Next time I’m pregnant, I’m definitely getting this.
For the Sentimental Breastfeeding Mom

This is me.
I kinda lost my job because how important breastfeeding is to me. It’s no surprise that I want something that will forever more live on and represent the special, bonding experience that was breastfeeding.
That something is breast milk jewelry.
You can either work with someone on Etsy that does it for you, or for a mom that may enjoy doing it herself, there are Breastmilk jewelry kits you can buy on Etsy or Amazon. The really NICE jewelry, of course, tends to be pricey.
Tip: If you opt for a kit, maybe you can make it a side gig if you provide that service for other moms.
For the Achey Mom
ProLife Sonic LX Professional Percussion Massage Gun: If the mom in question is anything like me, she’s struggled with back and sciatica pain long before she was pregnant.
And the pain was probably exacerbated during pregnancy and after. I actually wrote a post about relief for sciatica during pregnancy.
Before I had a baby, I’ve always loved getting a massage.
While I could definitely still use one, it’s not optimal for me to go get a 1+ hour long massage anymore.
I breastfeed and aside from timing feedings appropriately, I know my mind will race until I got back to my baby. Soooo relaxing.
To add to that, with what’s going on now with the coronavirus and efforts to practice social distancing, getting a massage is just not going to happen, no matter how much pain I’m experiencing.
So instead of throwing that money out the window, some research led me to the ProLife Sonic LX Professional Percussion Massage Gun 😍.
I didn’t have this when I first wrote this post, but my husband just surprised me with it.
It was by some big coincidental miracle because I did not share the post with him.
It has 4.9 stars on Amazon and over 100 reviews. That’s pretty amazing.
It has different intensities and head attachments so you can use it on different body parts.
For the Frazzled-Mind Mama
Panda Planner: My dad bought me a Panda Planner a couple of years ago.
This is more than your typical agenda.
It promotes happiness and positivity by practicing gratitude and it encourages productivity through goal setting, big picture planning and detailed task lists.
At 8.5 x 11″ it’s not a pocket sized planner. It’s big. Though if you want smaller, they have smaller options as well.

It’s not “cute” or decorated. It’s straightforward and 100% focused on functionality and it does a damn good job achieving its objective using a scientific approach.
I took a break from it towards the end of my pregnancy because life got crazy but when I started having trouble getting my thoughts in order while trying to work from home as I was caring for my baby, it was time for me to pick it back up.
For the Aspiring Etsy Shop Owner
Cricut: So many moms are on a mission to find a side gig for some extra cash.
Make your own stuff, gifts or best of all, items you can sell.
One of my best friends got a Cricut so she could open her own Etsy shop where she sells baby and kids clothes with cute sayings on them.
If you know a mom who wants to do her own thing but isn’t quite sure what that is, this may be a great gift for her.
For the Conservator
Tushy: It’s a bidet that is built into your toilet.
Tushy can always be enjoyed, especially by new moms (it’s a better version of a peri bottle).
I don’t have one of these but I have a friend who does and she’s pretty psyched about it.
That about does it!

Love these ideas!!!
Thank you! ❤
